“The entire trip was brilliant”
The entire trip was brilliant and I felt so privileged to be travelling with See Around Corners, due to the special relationships Michael has developed with many senior Indigenous leaders which resulted in extraordinary cultural experiences for his guests. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of experiences included, the flexibility and the wonderful grand finale sunset dinner cruise on Katherine Gorge which allowed us to all talk over the fun of the past 10 days, relax, enjoy an outstanding meal together and make our farewells.
It was fantastic travelling with a Savannah Guide whose professionalism, knowledge and organisational skills were exceptional and Michael was unfazed by and able to respond efficiently to any issues or last minute changes which rose unexpectedly.

“Absolutely enjoyed your professional guidance on this trip.”
Absolutely enjoyed your professional guidance on this trip. Was very relaxing not to have to worry about organizing ANYTHING! Some days where exhausting just because there was so much to do and see. I think you have done a fantastic job checking in with people and suggesting options for alternative things to do. It is a long trip and a great achievement to get all participants safely and happily through this experience. I commend you on your patience!

“The tour was well planned and we shared unique indigenous homeland, arts and cultural experiences.”
We joined Michael Alexander’s See Around Corners tag along tour to East Arnhem Land in September 2024. Michael was a very competent and co considerate tour leader. The tour was well planned and we shared unique indigenous homeland, arts and cultural experiences as well as the visual beauty of the beaches and the bush. Michael’s style gave us space as well as always being in control and being supportive. The tour group had joined Michael on previous tours and were very good company. We recommend Michael to other travellers.

“We had an enjoyable time with a good itinerary”
We had an enjoyable time with a good itinerary , evenly spaced between showing highlights and a bit of free time, the cultural tours are great, hearing from elders and representatives stories from there life

“Michael is extremely knowledgeable”
Michael is extremely knowledgeable about all things “Kimberley” and absolutely passionate about getting participants to experience the natural beauty as well as the aboriginal culture first hand. Even on a 4 week trip he is always infectiously positive and try’s to include everyone. We will definitely try to get on another tour with him in the future!

“Michael is very passionate”
I have known Michael Alexander, the owner of See Around Corners since 2012. I have travelled with Michael through outback Australia prior to him establishing his own tour company. In August/September 2023 I was fortunate to travel with Michael through Kakadu and Arnhem Land. Michael is very passionate about this area, embracing the people and their culture. Michael was continually seeking opportunities to enhance the experience, building relationships with the Traditional Custodians of the lands we visited. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

“Had a private tour with Michael to the Secret Springs.”
Had to traverse some rough terrain and some deep water crossings to get there. Michael stepped us all expertly through with no worries. Such a thrill for us and we felt safe with the knowledge that he was there to help if things went pear shaped. We learnt a lot about driving in these conditions and also saw some spectacular stuff along the way. We're considering a longer tag along.. Top stuff Michael. Thanks and see you soon

“I find that a day 1 tour of a new city helps you orient yourself”
and feel more comfortable for the rest of the trip, as well as plan better what things you want to see and when. On this one we made a well planned loop of the central city, helping me understand it better both in terms of layout and culture. BTW, if you are visiting Melbourne, go see the Old Gaol. It\'s a cooler museum than it sounds like. Also, the town makes surprisingly high-quality chocolate.

“He was absolutely a professional delight.”
He customised our tour to meet our interests. His knowledge increased ours of Melbourne. We have travelled extensively and have experienced many guides throughout the world. Michael ranks among the very best.
