Introducing Michael Alexander
2024 marks 25 years of travelling outback Australia. Michael is passionate about running tours that showcase Australia, especially the Kimberley and Arnhem Land and have set up my life to do this year-round.
During the wet season (November to March) Michael is based in Melbourne and runs a mix of cruise ship shore excursions and walking tours around Melbourne. It is fair to say that dry season 4WD Tag Along Adventures are my priority and I am working on this side of the business all year round.
In Australia's dry season (April - October) Michael spends his time running tours showcasing the best the Kimberley and Arnhem Land offers. As well as training traditional owners to become tour guides.
These are the questions Michael asks when designing trips and thinking about your experience on tour:
1. How can I offer the best possible 4WD Tag Along experience that showcases what the Kimberley and Arnhem Land have to offer?
2. How do I continue building relationships with traditional owners to build two-way knowledge and skill development that supports local tourism needs and adds to the tour experience for my guests?
3. What is the best way to promote my 4WD Tag Along Adventures and answer enquiries to help people plan for their 2024 dry season holiday?
4. How do I make these regions more accessible for those who want a true 4WD Adventure but don't have their own 4WD or camping equipment?
As a veteran of over 20 years travelling as a 4WD Tag Along customer, Michael understands guests' needs and what it takes to deliver an amazing 4WD Tag Along Adventure.
Michael is an accredited Savannah Guide, EcoGuide Australia, Kakadu, Uluru - Kata Tjuta and Watarrka Guide. Complementing his Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment is a Certificate 3 in Tourism - Guiding.
